Despite the game’s lack of announcements, 2K Games has already provided this type of description. This could also mean that the project is based on an existing franchise from the company, like a live-service game from Mafia or XCOM. 2K Games has not said anything about this, but it seems that the project is in a very early stage.

The 2K Games Live-Service Project Could be About an Existing Franchise

Other Reddit users quickly talked about what the “Top-Rated” part of the description could mean. Especially when the game has not even been announced yet. Some said that this live-service project will be about the NFL, NBA, or even WWE IPs that 2K Games already owns, but this will also collide with the yearly launch of these titles, which makes little sense.

The possibilities are almost unlimited, but fans are betting on a known IP with a new live service that will be coming soon.

2K Games is part of Take-Two Interactive, which has just acquired Gearbox Entertainment. The social media accounts of the Borderlands creators confirmed this yesterday. Embracer Group sold the studio for $460 million. This could mean a lot of changes for the possible future of this studio, like more collaborations into the 2K Games or even an aggressive expansion from the IP.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
