The under-performing features of the 1978 Ford Mustang II King Cobra inspired Marvel creators of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to fit it into the antagonist Ego’s life. The Starlord’s father and an evil maniac, Ego The Living Planet portrayed by Kurt Russell, and his wife Meredith Quill drove around in a blue King Cobra when on Earth.

The hatch-back-only Mustang II King Cobra is bolstered by a 5.0-litre with power steering and power brakes. The engineers were keen on developing it as a limited performance-ideal machine. Reportedly, it was later regarded as among the poorest performing Fords.

The Iron Suit’s ability to fly was a tech developed by Tony Stark’s father Howard Stark, an extraordinary inventor. In 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger, Howard Stark, to achieve flight stabilization, fitted hoverboards instead of wheels in the stunning 1941 Cadillac Series 62, displaying a modified version of the vintage car. The ‘flying Cadillac’ was then featured in glimpses at a time in the MCU, when Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers had just transformed into Captain America.

According to Motor Trend, the Cadillac Series 62 is a 4-door convertible, a special Cadillac feature limited to that year. With a 346-cubic-inch V-8 engine, the Series 62 revved up to a maximum of 100mph. It was styled by American automotive designer Harley Earl, a pioneer of the design industry.
