Many times during the rigorous and exhausting shooting schedule for a major Hollywood flick, both the cast and the crew have to traverse long and dangerous terrains to truly create the atmosphere of reality through the environment surrounding them. Angelina Jolie, a veteran in the Hollywood industry, has been on such journeys for numerous films in the past.
And while she may have become somewhat used to harsh conditions and situations over the years, the world has not gotten any forgiving to anyone. This is one instance when the dangers of these filming locations were brought forth into the light when she and the entire crew she was with had to evacuate the site due to the threat of being blown to smithereens.
Angelina Jolie Had To Evacuate The Set Location While Shooting For Eternals
Working as a Hollywood movie star may look glamorous and exciting, but behind all that lies the true test of an actor, especially when they have to go through severe hardships during lengthy shoots for a film. While shooting for her MCU debut as Thena in Eternals, Angelina Jolie had made up her mind to give her best performance in front of the camera, but as luck would have it, there was development on set that forced the crew to halt the shoot and evacuate as soon as possible.

After a long and arduous schedule, it was time for the Wanted star, along with her co-star Richard Madden, to head to the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean for their next shoot. When they arrived there and set up the entire set to start rolling, the crew found out that the island was ridden with bomb remnants all around, which were currently inactive, but major activities such as a movie shooting could cause them to blow up any time.
Therefore, for the safety of the cast as well as the crew, an evacuation order was issued and everyone was taken off that particular island. It was later found out that the bombs were present on the island due to the existence of a military base that used to be active in the past. Therefore, the next time you look at an exotic location in a movie, try to imagine what kind of dangers the people behind that film might’ve been through.

While the Avengers might be Earth’s protectors in the present, consisting of the mightiest heroes that the planet has to offer, the past was a time when humanity was just starting to flourish, and then came the Eternals. These extraterrestrial beings brought us knowledge and helped mankind to make advancements in society that brought us to the present. And now, as the world faces a new threat, they will rise up to defend Earth from the oncoming danger once again.
