The 2015 movie directed by George Miller, Mad Max: Fury Road starred Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron in the lead role. Wanting to use reality rather than animation, the director opted to use practical effects instead of CGI!

Mad Max: Fury Road Used Practical Effects Instead of CGI!

Mad Max: Fury Road had an intense 2-hour runtime for a movie that essentially lived and breathed Guzzoline. With a heavy production behind the movie, the Tom Hardy starrer had little to no use of animation or CGI during its making.

As per film trivia, it was revealed that over 80% of the effects used in the movie were actually practical effects. The filming further involved stunts which were also used practically. Make-ups and sets were also created using practical effects. During the making of the movie, it was revealed that CGI was used very sparingly.

Talking about the effects, the Tom Hardy starrer used CGI which was mainly used to enhance the Namibian landscape, removing the stunt rigs and setups that had been placed and Charlize Theron’s left arm which was a prosthetic limb in the movie.

After starring in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Chiwetel Ejiofor has been rumored to join Tom Hardy for the upcoming Venom 3. As per reports, sources close to Deadline claimed that the actor has closed a deal to star alongside Hardy in the upcoming superhero movie. Chiwetel Ejiofor was last seen in the role of Alvy Novy in the project titled The Pod Generation.

The actor is currently attached to 5 other upcoming projects which also include a film titled Mad Max: The Wasteland. As per IMDB, the actor is also attached to Sony’s Venom 3. Tom Hardy is also set to star in the upcoming movie titled Havoc. The film will focus primarily on a drug deal gone wrong alongside some further complications that make a twisted tale of convolution and lies. The film is currently in post-production and is slated for a release date of sometime in 2023.
