Spiderman: Miles Morales

This well-known game came out in 2020 and has a considerable fanbase, with dozens of edits, gameplay videos, and highlights. While this game isn’t actually about Christmas, it is set in the snowy season of New York. The streets are covered in a blanket of snow, ornaments are everywhere to be seen, and you’ll get to experience a lovely Christmas Eve dinner with Morales’ family. This is a great choice to get you in that cozy holiday jazz, and also get you into the fun Spiderman cinematic universe for the upcoming year.

Cthulhu Saves Christmas

Here, Cthulhu has managed to lose his powers (oh god, again?) and embarks on a funny, pixelated Christmas journey to save Mr.Santa from an Evil Christmas League. This is a hilarious prelude to Cthulhu Saves the World and has a nostalgic, retro game feel to it. This is probably one of the best holiday-themed games we have to offer, as it is tailored especially for this season, and this season only.

Join these wacky characters for some holiday fun.

Batman: Arkham Origins

Like the aforementioned Spiderman: Miles Morales, this game is not technically Christmas-themed, but still has a snowy Christmas environment with big blankets of snow with that cold, quiet vibe you get from the empty streets during a snowstorm. It is set on Christmas Eve, which was surprising for a Batman game. This is a good choice if you are into the Arkham series and generally enjoy Gotham-related content, games, and movies.

Batman doesn’t take Christmas Eve off.

Santa Tracker

This isn’t really a game, and more of a cute thing done by Google, which you can find on your browser to enjoy. There are a fair amount of small, holiday-themed mini-games that you can play to kill some time. Have fun graffiti-ing Santa’s beard, learning dance moves and code, and skiing the slippery slopes as an elf. The designs and animations are pretty adorable and will at least keep you entertained for a few hours as you try to beat your high scores. Thank Google for this tiny Christmas treat.

Viscera Clean-Up Detail: Santa’s Rampage

If the cheery, go-lucky atmosphere of Christmas isn’t really for you, we have a game that will definitely have you interested. Picture this: Santa got pissed off at life, has murdered everyone including his reindeer, and has left behind a morbid mess of blood for you to clean up. This is a dark twist on the usually joyous season, and might be just your cup of tea. It’s an interesting play at the very least, and you might like to give it a try, just to remind you how life can take completely opposite directions. Have fun.
