5. The Plot of Kashin Koji

Kashin Koji is a clone of Jiraiya who was created to kill Isshiki Otsutsuki. While he was first introduced as an opposing force, he began acting as Boruto’s aide so that he could be successful on his mission to eliminate Code and Claw Grimes.

If Jiraiya returns or Koji is revealed to be the real deal then all hell would break lose. The character will once again find some importance in the story.

4. Humorous Element

Jiraiya’s character was mirthful and full of humor. Since Boruto is heading toward a serious battle with the Otsutsukis, humor sometimes falls behind to make place for the serious action.

The inclusion of Jiraiya will make sure that even in the most tense situations, someone would be there to crack a joke and break the serious atmosphere. His dramatic self-introductions, as well as annoying behavior, will go a long way to bring some comic relief.

3. Jiraiya Could be Boruto’s Sensei

Jiraiya taught Naruto and the boy went on to become the Seventh Hokage. He might be a jolly and self-acclaimed pervert, but Jiraiya is too powerful to ignore. If Naruto could excel under his training then so could Boruto.

In fact, Jiraiya could help Boruto straighten his basics so that he could discover even more powerful techniques than the ones he can currently use. Jiraiya could also serve as an extra force on the battlefield.

2. Naruto Nostalgia

While Boruto is performing well, there are still fans who liked Naruto way better and did not like the way he was nerfed in Boruto. Bringing back Jiraiya would give such fans a reason to tune into Boruto, thus boosting the anime’s reach.

The inclusion of Jiraiya would be too eye-catching to ignore. In fact, there is a chance that with this move, Boruto would receive an influx of new fans who are there to know more about Jiraiya and Naruto. It could potentially disrupt Boruto’s main character status, but the pros far outweigh the cons.

1. A Master-Student Reunion

The person who felt the loss of Jiraiya the most is none other than Naruto himself. The protagonist trained under Jiraiya and accomplished many feats under his guidance. Above all, Jiraiya became a mentor and parental figure to him.

So when Jiraiya died, Naruto was heartbroken, to say the least. Jiraiya’s return would revive Naruto once again. Seeing his old mentor alive and kicking again would inspire the Seventh Hokage. Hopefully, it would also empower him to fight more battles and not become outdated in Boruto.
