Pirates of the Caribbean was the biggest blockbuster film during the middle of the 2000s. The franchise was so well-loved because of its stunning visual effects, interesting plot, and overall amazing production. It was a huge risk for Disney because the film was only based on a theme park ride but it turned out to be a fan favorite!
Five installments later, there was a downhill movement for the franchise. Slowly, it loses its momentum due to events that happened in the past. However, there is still hope for the franchise so long as fans still support it and the whole creative team works hand in hand in bringing the beloved pirates series back on the big screen.
It Is A Fun-Filled Movie
The movie is probably the only living and surviving pirate-themed film that is still thriving these days. The swashbuckling adventures and marvelous cinematography just make it so appealing to the audience. No matter how many times we have watched it, we still crave for more. The fact that this is a big-budget franchise says a lot about the kind of enjoyment that fans deserve to experience.
They Could Bring Back Jack Sparrow
With all the controversies surrounding Johnny Depp, fans still want the actor to reprise his role as Jack Sparrow. Let us face it—there is no one that can carry the role other than Depp. Lots of petitions went around on the Internet to cast him back amidst the issue between him and ex-wife Amber Heard. Fans can only wish for a miracle because there’s a sixth Pirates of the Caribbean movie coming very soon.
Original Cast Reunion
There is nothing sweeter than seeing your favorite adventurers fare the sea once again. The recent Pirates of the Caribbean films brought new faces aboard and only gave a few screen times for both Will and Elizabeth. Surely there was a need to shine the spotlight on their son, Henry Turner, but having them all in one film will make a grand showdown. This would be a great time for the cast to work together again and bring back the nostalgic feeling that they gave us back in 2003.
Production Could Be Better
In light of the potential sixth film, Disney’s Production President said that they want to bring new energy and vitality to the film. He also mentioned how much he loved the franchise and a new twist to it could do the magic. This is indeed a good sign from an executive that an upcoming movie is actually in the works and not just a rumor.
Explore New Storyline
Needless to say, the franchise could use some new retelling. It has been the same plot all these years so inventing a new premise for the next one could be an exciting task. It needs a new direction in order for it to live up to the hype. The previous installment still focused on some old characters and their histories. This time, a complete change may be deemed necessary.
