7 Days to Die is a survival horror game that relies heavily on builds that aim to protect you from the dangers lurking around you in the environment, including zombies and parasites who constantly raid your hideout at night.

The game is similar to Minecraft in the sense that it will require you to extract resources from your surroundings and use them in the best possible way to build an impenetrable hideout, as well as build equipment and tools necessary for self-defense.

Armor In 7 Days to Die Is Still Not The Best

However, the armor builds in 7 Days to Die 1.0 are proving to be utterly pointless, as they provide little to no protection against enemies, and a lot of time goes into extracting resources from them.

The armor classes in the game range from light to medium to heavy, and each class offers different equipment and levels of protection, with heavy being the most powerful of them all.

No set bonus gives you anything (other than fashion) worth not caring about set bonuses and min-maxing passives from other sets. The best-set bonus early is from Rouge and later from Assassin, everything else is lackluster.

A Reddit user shared their opinion about the same by elaborating on the point. They said:

Another user raised a question about the builds being useless.

However, not everything about the builds is bad, and the assassin set for full stealth builds is the biggest example of it. These builds are the best in the game and offer much more perks than any other in the game.

There is scope for getting creative with builds in the game by mixing different items but that has turned out to be more fashion-focused than actually being useful against enemies, which is the biggest concern for some players.

7 Days to Die 1.0 was released not even a month ago and players are already pushing the boundaries of the game with their creativity and knowledge. This paves the way for criticism to be generated against the game as well but also gives them space to sit back and reflect on how they can make things better with future updates.

7 Days to Die 1.0 can still be tweaked further with updates, which will resolve the issues revolving around the armor builds that players are currently facing. The Fun Pimps, the developer behind the studio, needs to be open to the idea of considering players’ opinions and acting on the problems addressed by them.

It still has time to make the game better for the gaming community, consisting of all the players who have been a part of this game for over a decade now.
