Another bug has hit 7 Days to Die. At least, this time around, it doesn’t make your game unplayable.
The number of bugs that seem to spawn from the game’s first full build is something to witness, as players constantly report new issues. The latest one to be discovered can turn you into a stealthy Super Saiyan, but players find it too cheesy.
No Need to Fear the Zombies in 7 Days to Die Anymore
Typically, zombies are the number one thing to fear in games like 7 Days to Die.
This was already debatable when people got the feeling that the random zombie encounters you get outside of Point of Interest zones were greatly reduced, but there was still fear on the odd chance you encountered one.
However, players have now discovered quite a significant bug that basically mitigates the fear of it all. You can be the stealth assassin of your dreams, all with a simple trick.
Is sneak completely OP now?

As a Redditor explains it, there’s a bug in the game where you can sneak attack enemies without it going on cooldown.
They explain that among their friend group, they decided to dump points into agility. Unknown to them, the stealth mechanic is currently broken. OP can get sneak attacks on enemies even after they’ve woken up and started charging toward OP.
OP talks about being able to sneak attack and shoot bears before they can even reach them. While it does make gameplay much easier, OP says they’d rather not cheese the game. Plus, their perception and fortitude bill benefits friends as well.
This type of gameplay pretty much gives you no reason to fear anything, as you can just sneak attack your way through everything.
Sneak Might Be Completely Broken

The post got a ton of replies, and some have confirmed that they experienced the same bug. People are clearing extremely difficult areas in 7 Days to Die just by sneak-attacking enemies and stacking multiplier damage with no issue.

One reply confirms that there should be a cooldown timer for the sneak attacks, but it’s not working as intended currently.

Supposedly, it should at least work as intended in singleplayer and certain multiplayer rooms, but it appears absolutely busted at the moment.

A recurring comment under OP’s post seemed to be about how stealth builds are OP, talking about them from a standard perspective.
However, they all seem to miss a crucial point in the original post—OP’s sneak attack damage continues to work without a cooldown even in the face of enemies that are awake and charging toward them.
It seems indisputable that the mechanic is currently bugged, and it should be fixed during the upcoming stable release of the game.
