Arnold Schwarzenegger Gets Held At Munich Airport!
While arriving from Los Angeles, the actor failed to declare that he had an Audemars Piguet watch. The watch, which was priced at $28,000 (£22,000) was an import that Schwarzenegger failed to declare which cost the actor quite dearly.
According to the German tabloid Bild, the customs officials at Munich airport have reportedly gone ahead with the criminal tax proceedings. As per the report, Schwarzenegger had to pay a whopping $38,000 which included $4300 in taxes and around $5500 in penalty. The officials stated that everyone had to follow the law accordingly be it Arnold Schwarzenegger or not!
“We have initiated criminal tax proceedings. The watch should have been registered because it is an import. If the goods remain in the EU, you have to declare them through customs. This applies to everyone, whether their name is Schwarzenegger or Müller, Meier, Huber.”
In his defense, the Predator actor commented that the watch was to be sold off at an auction in the Austrian ski resort of Kitzbühel and the money would be donated to the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative!

“This is the problem that Germany is suffering from. You can no longer see the forest for the trees,”
The actor, after being interrogated for 3 hours was reportedly let go at 16:45 and the first thing he did was light a cigarette in the car. With Schwarzenegger having called his lawyers, it seems that the case will go on as the True Lies actor goes through the criminal tax proceedings!
