Tom Holland attracted intense fame after being featured as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War followed by his movie Spider-Man: Homecoming. After that, we saw the actor in multiple projects in and out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The 27-year-old also played the renowned video game character Nathan Drake in the 2022 film adaptation of Uncharted.

Unfortunately both Uncharted and The Crowded Room failed to mimic his MCU success. Despite earning praise for his performance in the Apple TV+ series, the reviews were outright bad due to the story and several other factors involved. When Tom Holland spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, he revealed that he explained that the reviews are too bad to be done something about it.

“It was a kick in the teeth. Rolling over, looking up the reviews, and then all of a sudden I was like, ‘Wow. That’s a bad review.’ Sometimes there’s a redeeming quality in there. There was nothing.”

Holland didn’t lose hope though and added that he still expects some good responses along with respecting others’ opinions who didn’t like it. The series focuses on the lead’s life after being arrested for a New York City shootout. The show stars him alongside Amanda Seyfried and will be streamed every week till July 28. But on the other hand, the series also forced Tom Holland to take a temporary break from acting for a year.
