Stranger Things is one of the highest-rated web series of all time. Set in the 1980s, the historical drama series revolves around a paranormal and supernatural activity storyline, with thriller and mysterious twists.
With a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the series is continuing to grow, along with its cast. As per reports, Stranger Things season 5 will be the last in its series, with an even increased cast and new characters, including the Terminator co-star Linda Hamilton.
Which Character Will Linda Hamilton Play in Stranger Things Season 5?
Super loved by fans, the Stranger Things series is said to be coming to an end with its final season, Stranger Things season 5. After the distressing cliffhanger that the series’ season 4 ended on, its new season is much awaited to solve the intriguing mysteries left unsolved in the previous season.
On one hand, the Terminator actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has agreed to be Netflix’s Chief Action Officer, whereas his co-actor, on the other hand, has decided to join the cast of Stranger Things season 5. As confirmed by various sources, the Terminator star Linda Hamilton is all set to star in the latest season of the thriller series.
While Netflix itself revealed during its Tudum event about Hamilton joining the Stranger Things series, it did not, however, disclose which character the actress will be playing. The fact that whether Hamilton will be joining the Hawkins crew against Vecna or will she join the enemy’s side is also unclear due to the same.
The new season, whose shoot was supposed to start in May 2023, has been vaguely delayed due to the Writers Guild of America strike. Thus, any news of the actress’ character along with other actors who will be cast in the series, is also currently unavailable.
However, rumors have it that Linda Hamilton’s character could be one from the enemy’s side, meaning that she’ll indirectly prove to be a threat to the series’ main characters, including Eleven among others.
Stranger Things Storyline So Far and What Linda Hamilton Could Contribute to It
For those who don’t know, Stranger Things is a TV series set in the 1980s, in a fictional town in Indiana called Hawkins. Its epic plot encircles the secret experiments and evaluation of the paranormal and supernatural, with even human beings acting as the test subjects.
At the end of season 4 of the series was the unended fight between the Hawkins crew and Vecna. As rumors have it, the story could continue with the Upside Down overpowering the Hawkins crew according to the plan made by Vecna, with Colonel Sullivan still alive and in constant pursuit of capturing Eleven.
While it is said that Linda Hamilton could come into the story from this point onwards by joining Colonel Sullivan and becoming an enemy of Eleven’s team, there are also chances that Hamilton could be given a bigger role for showcasing her skills in a better way.
However, as these are mere assumptions, we’ll just have to wait and see what Stranger Things season 5 has in store for its fans.
