So many stars in a video conveying only one message. If you have missed it— Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Julianne Moore, Don Cheadle, and a host of other celebrities came together to take part in a voting PSA called ‘IMPORTANT — Save the Day’ in 2016.

What could be more moving than a group of famous faces coming together to convey a message, while a dramatic soundtrack plays in the background? And you know the best part—when those famous people are related to superhero franchises.

For the unversed, Joss Whedon, the director of The Avengers, urged people in 2016 to vote in the presidential election by enlisting a host of celebrities. In addition, they teased a possible Mark Ruffalo n*de scene.

But the main idea of Whedon’s ‘Save the Day’ video campaign was to turn out voters in November of that year.

Joss Whedon made his long-awaited return to the internet in 2016 in an effort to encourage people to sign up and vote. The video featured Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Keegan-Michael Key, Julianne Moore, Don Cheadle, James Franco, (and some not so well-known, but still pretty famous) friends of the 59-year-old director.

It was a component of Save The Day, a digital production company founded by the Serenity director. Instead of supporting “a racist, abusive coward who could permanently damage the fabric of our society,” as Cheadle has put it, the goal was to get everyone out to vote on election day.

At least three times throughout the song, the Iron Man actor emphasized his fame and success.  However, the video’s best part was its final few minutes.

The video’s star-studded cast concluded by promising that the 55-year-old actor would shoot a n*de scene for his next MCU movie if viewers voted that year. While the Dark Waters actor himself appeared hesitant to make such a commitment, his co-stars could not be happier.

Why Marvel Rejected Mark Ruffalo’s Solo Hulk Movie?

Due to their portrayals of unstoppable superheroes in the franchise, the MCU actors have established themselves as recognizable faces around the globe. The majority of fans agree that the MCU’s casting was excellent, but there have been a few actors, like Edward Norton, who later got replaced by another actor, like Mark Ruffalo

Marvel insisted Norton play Bruce Banner/Hulk in The Incredible Hulk (2008) because he was “more famous.” But the franchise suffered a great deal with their film because they tried to use the Fight Club star as the lead.

On the other hand, since Ruffalo only appeared in “smart intellectual films,” he was an unusual choice back then, despite now being widely recognized as the Hulk.

Making about $264 million worldwide, The Incredible Hulk was a hit but was unable to spawn a sequel and continue the story because of different reasons. After Edward Norton’s performance as the title character in The Incredible Hulk (2008), Marvel was forced to choose Mark Ruffalo as his replacement.

Although it is often thought to be challenging to fill the shoes of an actor who previously played the same role, the Shutter Island actor was successful in becoming the Hulk in the eyes of his fans.

You can watch Edward Norton’s The Incredible Hulk (2008), which is streaming on Disney+.
