In a recent candid interview, The Banker movie star shared his opinions on the ongoing WGA writer’s strike and allegedly stated that a strike by actors would be a disaster.

Anthony Mackie shared, “Once the studios went public and were bought out by major companies, we were f*cked. It’s no longer about art. It’s no longer about interesting, fun work. It’s about end-of-the-quarter profit sharing. It’s about shareholders. So you’re literally just raping and pillaging the industry. It’s cannibalism.”

The actor added that if actors would go on strike, it would be a disaster for the industry, saying, “It’s a sh*t show if we go on strike. He concluded that studios had to negotiate with a fair offer, “They’re going to have to. Unless they get a bunch of f*cking YouTubers to make Avengers 5!”

The New Orleans native star is currently making headlines for his upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World and the highly anticipated 2023 American post-apocalyptic action-comedy television series Twisted Metal.
