Henry Cavill has had two incredibly iconic roles in his career, as Geralt in Netflix’s The Witcher, and perhaps the most well-known being Superman in the DC Universe, and unfortunately, the actor has been replaced in both these roles. While the passing of the mantle of the White Wolf has been anything but accepted, with fans being caught off guard by the sudden shift and unaccepting of the new actor, the transition of Cavill’s Superman to a new one has been much smoother and stretched out.

Superman: Legacy Announces New Cast Members

Superman: Legacy is set to be a live-action rebirth of the character of Superman and represents the true start of Gods and Monsters, the first phase of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s plan for the DCU. While this movie will feature a new actor who will portray Clake Kent, it will not be an origin story, choosing to instead have a Superman who has already been flying the skies for a while.

Outside of the plot, one of the most anticipated news for this movie was who will be cast as the new Clake Kent and Lois Lane. The news was finally announced as it was revealed that David Corenswet, best known for his work in Pearl and Hollywood, will be playing Superman alongside Lois Lane, who will be played by Rachel Brosnahan, best known for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Along with this, there have been a few more cast members who have been announced recently with Isabela Merced. who will be playing Hawkgirl alongside Nathan Fillion, who will portray a version of the Green Lantern, but perhaps one of these castings which have made the most noise on Twitter has to be Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific.

As soon as the news of Edi Gathegi taking up the role of Mister Terrific hit Twitter, fans were overtaken by excitement. They showed incredible support for the actor and were ready to see what this movie had in store for them. Some talked about what an amazing actor Gathegi is, bringing up his work in Blacklist, and talking about how good of a job he will do in the role.
