As per the director, he likes to write his scripts on a typewriter instead of a computer. This way, the director explained that he could be disconnected from the world and be in his own little space. With such a creative process at hand, the people couldn’t resist trolling the director a little for his unique habits.

Christopher Nolan Loves Working With Old Technology

While writing Oppenheimer, Nolan had the brilliant notion of typing the entire script through the eyes of the lead character J. Robert Oppenheimer. Not only that but the director also typed the entire script manually in a typewriter.

The director stated that he felt that technology is indeed an amazing thing but it depended on how much distraction he needed. Comparing a typewriter to a smartphone, Nolan revealed that he would much prefer a typewriter for sitting with a smartphone the whole day wouldn’t be ideal for meeting his deadlines.

“I think technology and what it can provide is amazing. My personal choice is about how involved I get. It’s about the level of distraction. If I’m generating my material and writing my own scripts, being on a smartphone all day wouldn’t be very useful for me”

Although the director was right in every word that he said, the people couldn’t resist trolling Christopher Nolan for his unique ways. And as such, people tweeted their thoughts (some of which were rude) while others praised the director for his creative side.
