Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet became one of the most iconic on-screen couples in Hollywood after they portrayed the roles of Jack and Rose in the movie, Titanic. Titanic went on to become the first movie that grossed more than a billion dollars at the box office. The reason for the massive success of the movie was the incredible acting from the cast, James Cameroon’s spectacular cinematography, and a hard-working crew.
However, the filming hours were quite long and Leonardo DiCaprio allegedly had enough of it by the end of the filming of the movie.
Leonardo DiCaprio was sick of filming Titanic
Titanic had long filming hours and the movie was quite tough to shoot overall with multiple day shoots of a single scene. According to sources, the movie had 14-hour-long shoots, and Leonardo DiCaprio allegedly once had enough of it mid-way while filming the movie.
According to Vanity Fair, the Wolf of Wall Street actor, one day just
“ambled over to the set, took a good look at the four soundstages, the 17-million-gallon water tank, the smokestacks rising majestically against the sky, the hordes of extras running around in period clothes—and thought, ‘This is bullshit.’“
Kate Winslet once also opened up about Titanic‘s tough filming schedule and revealed how miserable DiCaprio was while filming for the movie.

Once in an interview with The Guardian, Kate Winslet talked about how young she and Leonardo DiCaprio was while filming the movie, Titanic. She said, “I turned 21 on that shoot, and Leo turned 22.” The interviewer mentioned how he had met up with DiCaprio and the actor revealed that he was absolutely miserable while filming the movie, and Winslet just burst out laughing after hearing this. She further said,
“I remember! I remember that he was! It wasn’t pleasant for any of us, but we were all in it together. Though he had way more days off than I ever bloody did. I guess I was raised to be grateful and just get on with it. I didn’t feel it was my right to be miserable, and if I was miserable I certainly would not have let a journalist know. There is no way I would have let that slip!”
Titanic was a massive critical and commercial success at the box office as the movie went on to gross almost $2.25 billion against a production budget of $200 million. The movie also went on to win 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director.
