Christopher Nolan Pushed Emily Blunt To Slap Her Co-star 

While Oppenheimer is busy counting the millions of dollars at the box office, the cast recalls their favorite scenes from the movie. During the interview with Entertainment Weekly, Emily Blunt shared her favorite scene, which sounded truly bizarre to the fans. Claiming to have enjoyed the slapping scene from the movie, Blunt revealed what went on behind the scenes.

I really didn’t wanna hit him, but you know Chris was like ‘hit him, he’ll be fine’. And I can see his rather famous cheekbone just started to grow even more on one side.

Mimicking the legendary filmmaker, the actress spilled the beans about how she initially hesitated to slap Cillian Murphy, but eventually, Christopher Nolan pushed her to make it happen. Blunt further went on to reveal why she enjoyed the particular scene despite withdrawing herself from slapping her co-star.

That scene I really enjoyed…it’s a really difficult scene for Cillian to play, you know he’s literally gibbering with incoherence and he’s having an episode and it was just so raw and emotional.

After explaining what made her fall in love with the scene, Emily Blunt mentioned how Christopher Nolan was behind all of it, and how calmly he made it happen. Proceeding further to praise Nolan even more, the actress went on with the interview. 

Oppenheimer is currently running in theatres worldwide.
