In a 2015 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. made an appearance and shared their experience working in the scorching heat in the month of July in Atlanta to shoot Captain America: Civil War.

The titular actor went first to share his experience stating two words, “hot and sticky” that would perfectly define the climate condition at the time.

But, his co-star had quite a different experience as he jokingly shared,

“It was beautiful, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

He further described why his version of Atlanta was different from Evans’s.

“I was either in a lovely, sprawling, rented home or an air-conditioned helicopter. I mean, I did see you on the tarmac doing action for six months, but you see, once the helmet closes, I’m not there.”

Well, that was quite a petty way to annoy his co-star, it didn’t just end at it since he also exclaimed enjoying watching the former suffer while filming the 2016 film.

“But I really just wanted to come to set up my days off and watch you suffer.”

Well, The Gray Man actor couldn’t agree with him more since Civil War is the third installment in the Captain America series being headlined by the 42-year-old actor.

Kicking off Phase 3 of the MCU, the 2016 film was a huge commercial success earning over $1.1 billion worldwide. Due to the positive feedback from the critics and moviegoers, it ended up becoming the highest-grossing film of that year.

Meanwhile, a fourth film, Captain America: Brave New World is scheduled for release in May 2024. This film will feature Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as Captain America which will follow the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
