Dragon Ball is one of the strongest verses in anime. It is a home to some very potent characters who can quickly destroy universes. Goku is one of the strongest characters in the Dragon Ball series and the most influential anime character. However, there are some characters in the series that even Goku, in his super-saiyan form, cannot fathom defeating.
Goku is a very strong character and has shown numerous feats throughout the series that seem impossible to replicate. But in the same verse, three characters are too far away to reach, even for Goku, and will probably never reach their level.
Despite being a mortal, Goku has surpassed the limits of a human being, but these characters are someone he cannot reach even if he trains for years.
Characters in Dragon Ball which Goku cannot defeat
1. Zeno
The Omni-King-King of Dragon Ball’s multiverse, Zeno, is someone Goku will never be able to defeat. Even if Goku manages to live for thousands of years, the match between Goku and Zeno will be a one-sided abomination.
Zeno can destroy the universe within a blink of an eye. In Dragon Ball Super, when Zeno was angry, he erased an entire universe, which Goku could not achieve. Zeno is someone completely on a different plain as compared to Goku; even the god of destruction fears Zeno and always makes sure not to upset him.
2. Beerus
Beerus is the god of destruction in Universe 7, and even the strongest mortals, such as Goku and Vegeta, bow down before him. Unparalleled in destructive strength, a simple move of his can eradicate souls from existence.
His most potent weapon is Hakai, which erases everything, including planets, the universe, and even souls. Although Goku and Vegeta have become a lot stronger, Beerus has never shown a glimpse of his true strength.
In all of his existence, there has never been someone who has managed to give Beerus a run for his money.
3. The Grand Minister
The Grand Minister is the father of the 13 angels and is always near Zeno. The audience highly underrates him due to never seeing him in combat.
Whis, moping the floor with Vegeta and Goku with a single finger, stated that even he could not defeat his father. It is not a coincidence that the Grand Minister is always so close and sticks with Zeno.
He is also someone who only obliges and cares for Zeno. When Zeno erased universes 9 and 10 after they were eliminated from the tournament, the Grand Minister did not show a single glimpse of regret.
