Zach Aguilar is one of the most talented voice actors in the world of anime dubbing. worked for companies such as Bang Zoom! Entertainment, Viz Media, and Funimation. Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Koichi Hirose in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable, Arthur Pendragon in The Seven Deadly Sins, and David Martinez in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners were Aguilar’s first prominent roles. He has been part of many iconic roles and voiced some popular anime characters.
Aguilar in an interview explained that he had the most unique experience while filming for one of the most iconic anime franchises in the world. Recently, He has been working for the Dragon Ball Franchise. He provided the voice of Dr. Hedo in the movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero for the Funimation dub.
Zach Aguilar Shares His Experience While Working for Dragon Ball Franchise
Aguilar dubbs the English version of the Dragon Ball movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroes. He is the voice of Dr. Hedo, who is the grandson of Dr. Gero and Vomi. In an interview with Coming Soon, Aguilar talked about his experience while working for one of the biggest franchises. He said:
“That was a very fun thing that we made a lot of jokes about while recording, eating the Oreos. It was just so different from anything I’ve ever done before. I’ve done a lot of young-sounding hero characters. So it was a lot of fun, just kind of getting to throw on a voice and play around with it and create a full-on character. I think about Dragon Ball and I think about doing a voice. Actually getting to kind of throw that on and just have fun in my audition and then [to] get to work on the movie … it was crazy. Just a ton of fun.”
He explained how all the cast had a lot of fun and the experience was different from anything he had ever done before. He stated that he got to play around with the voice of the character and develop it from scratch.
Who is Dr. Hedo?
Dr. Hedo is the brilliant grandson of Drs. Gero and Vomi. He is the creator of the Alpha Series, Beta Series, and Gamma Series, as well as Cell Max. He is a super-intelligent scientist with extensive biology knowledge and a medical license. Dr. Hedo, although being a regular person, has applied a self-created serum on his skin that allows him to endure more damage than normal.
