Gojo Satoru, the fan-favorite character from the popular anime and manga series Jujutsu Kaisen has been trending since the day the series was serialized. He originally appeared as the cursed youth Yuta Okkotsu’s mentor at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School in Akutami’s short series Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School which was later adapted into the Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Gojo plays the same role in Jujutsu Kaisen manga and series, but this time he coaches his student Yuji Itadori, who suffers from a similar Curse, assisting him in becoming stronger while also safeguarding other people in the series.

He is probably the only character who is hated by its creator Gege Akutami. Akutami has been witnessed talking negatively against the character quite a few times. They even thought that Gojo had no personality as his overwhelming strength and his attitude towards authority made it difficult for the creator to write dialogues for him.

Gege Akutami Thinks Gojo Satoru has no Personality

Gojo was designed by Akutami to be a strong but charming character who cares about his students. The character, who became the series’ breakthrough character due to his casual personality and power displayed when protecting his students, was favorably appreciated by the media. They designed Satoru Gojo to be one of the most powerful personalities in the series while also being simple to grasp for the fans. However, Gojo’s opinions and development further into the story made Akutami believe that he is a hindrance to the story and plot development as a whole.

This is why Akutami thinks Gojo has no personality as he is difficult to be included more in the story. Akutami was quoted saying on YouTube, “Something Satoru Gojo doesn’t have…Probably a Personality.” He even highlighted the extra amount of presence the character had in the initial episodes. He was quoted saying: “The recent Jujutsu Kaisen chapters have all been about ‘How many times did you say Satoru Gojo?'”

They believe that his overwhelming power makes every opponent a child’s play for him, thus not developing any kind of personality ever.

Gege Akutami Finds It Difficult To Write Dialogues For Gojo

Satoru is a complicated person. He is usually observed being casual and humorous with his students, close coworkers, and friends. However, he is ruthless and unsympathetic to sorcerer executives and higher authorities, making it incredibly difficult for Akutami to compose dialogue for him. His assessment of others is frequently limited to his assessment of their strength. He possesses the ability to be cold-blooded in a crisis. When he considers that the sacrifice is unavoidable, he will prioritize the destruction of his adversaries over the salvation of innocent people.

This desire to change the world without caring much for the consequences and only focusing on power with no respect for the higher-ups makes Gojo a complex character and thus Akutami finds it hard to add more dialogues for Gojo.
