Whenever we think about Harry Potter, the first thing that comes into our minds is undoubtedly Daniel Radcliffe. The actor has made himself a household name for his role as The Boy Who Lived. But despite spending almost his entire childhood days on the sets of the Harry Potter movies, Radcliffe was sure to admit that some aspects of it were extremely embarrassing. More precisely, as the actor grew up, he found some parts of his acting to be unbearable.
Daniel Radcliffe has also maintained his popularity following the Harry Potter film series based on J.K. Rowling’s works. However, it can’t be denied that the Wizarding World projects still hold the power to the fame he was guaranteed by the other projects he worked on. But he made sure to address the negative sides of his Harry Potter days for quite some time.
What does Daniel Radcliffe hate about Harry Potter?
Not only Daniel Radcliffe but Emma Watson and Rupert Grint also grew up on the sets of the Harry Potter film series along with the other series regulars. Several moments on the set are etched into the minds of the cast. We are often accustomed to those in their interviews. But there are some other aspects as well that are not quite favorable to the stars.
For the 34-year-old actor, some parts of his acting from the initial Wizarding World movies still make him cringe even after so many years. But it doesn’t mean that he hates all of those. Daniel Radcliffe has his fair share of achievements at a very early stage of life. When Radcliffe sat with the LotR actor Elijah Wood in an interview with Empire Magazine (via Cinema Blend), he revealed that there were many experiences on the set and it is very difficult to conclude a single emotion.
“I’m intensely embarrassed by some of my acting, obviously. But yeah, it’s like asking, ‘How do you feel about your teenage years?’ There’s so much in there that it’s almost impossible to single out one feeling.”
During his promotion of The Lost City with Sandra Bullock, he also added to TooFab that it didn’t feel cool to go and stand there as a school boy during the filming of the fantasy movies- “when I was on Harry Potter and dressed as a school boy, it didn’t feel like the coolest thing in the world at the time”. However, he also admitted that this would be always an unforgettable experience. He went on to call himself “lucky” for such a great experience.
