That being said, this resulted in Gojo acquiring a huge bounty upon his neck, and the fight where Toji Fushiguro almost killed him made fans wonder why the Sorcerer Killer didn’t take him down when he was just a child. The answer is simple: the assassin decided to change himself and his way of living for the woman he loved. He avoided fights and gambling to lead a healthier life with Ms Fushiguro.

Toji was formerly a member of the Zenin Clan, which is one of the three most significant clans in Jujutsu society. However, contrary to how other members were, having an abundance of cursed energy, this man was born with zero cursed energy, which resulted in him not being able to have any kind of cursed technique.

Gojo’s bounty was at an all-time high, as his birth tipped the entire balance of the Jujutsu society. Toji could’ve taken him down when he was just a child, but back then, he wasn’t living the ways of the “Sorcerer Killer.” He stayed away from a life of gambling and assassination for the woman he loved, Ms Fushiguro. However, everything tumbled down in his life after the death of his wife, and he became even more crazier.

Toji was perceived as a disgrace to the powerful Zenin family and became an assassin by the knowledge he acquired from his clan to kill sorcerers. While being the “Sorcerer Killer,” as mentioned above, he fell in love with an amiable lady and married her. He adopted her surname and gave up on his volatile life. His life, for once, was actually starting to go uphill, but everything was ruined when she passed away after Megumi’s birth.

The couple had a son named Megumi. It wasn’t traced properly why Toji abandoned his son. It’s just unfortunate that Megumi wasn’t even aware of what his own father looked like. The “Sorcerer Killer” intended to give Megumi to the Zenin Clan because he believed they could support and teach him better than he ever could. He portrayed the entire ordeal in such a way that the Zenin clan would believe he had just sold his son to them as he asked for financial compensation. Finally, when the man was at the doorstep of the Grim Reaper, he mustered enough strength to tell Satoru Gojo about the existence of Megumi.
