Megumi Fushiguro is one of Jujutsu Kaisen’s most important characters. Megumi, the calmer of the three characters between Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki, is likely one of the most popular in Jujutsu Kaisen. Both the manga and the television show have demonstrated why he is on his way to becoming one of the greatest Jujutsu Sorcerers of the modern period. Throughout season 1 and the manga, readers see Megumi’s work under the most powerful sorcerer, Gojo Satoru, as they prepare Megumi to be one of the most powerful forthcoming Jujutsu Sorcerers.

Megumi Fushiguro Doesn’t Show Emotions

Megumi is one of the Jujutsu Kaisen characters who doesn’t express much emotion. He is also the one that has suffered the most in JJK. His biological father, Toji Fushiguro, sold him to the Zenin Clan. Tsumiki Fushiguro was the victim of a terrible Curse. In the series, he has hardly displayed any emotions other than fury. His buddies are continuously joking and enjoying the humorous portions of the story, while Megumi is usually shown with a blank expression, displaying no emotion. He appears to be a stoic, aloof, and calculated man.

He normally wears a neutral expression on his face that he rarely changes and appears to take every issue seriously. However, there is one instance where he showed his true emotions and laughed for probably the first time in the series. But that too was a near-death experience. He laughed when he was facing the finger bearer during the death painting arc.

Megumi Laughed For The First Time In Death Painting Arc

Megumi had never laughed out loud before the Death Painting arc near the end of the first season. When Megumi confronts the Yasohachi Bridge Finger Bearer curse, he gets a serious knock to the head and realizes it is more powerful than he thought. Megumi expands his dominion, Chimaera Shadow Garden, and lets forth a demented chuckle. Even if his domain expansion was incomplete, Megumi believes this should be enough to prevail, and he eventually defeats the finger bearer.

Most fans are hoping for a laugh based on delight in the future, but this laugh truly brought out Megumi’s realization that he doesn’t have to sacrifice himself merely because the opponent is powerful. This was the first time Megumi laughed out loud showing his emotions which is one of the rare things seen in Jujutsu Kaisen.
