Fortnite OG Has Been Teased For the Last Few Weeks

Before reading ahead, beware of spoilers for the new season skins!

Officially or unofficially, there’s a lot of speculation going around Fortnite OG regarding new content. Leakers have even managed to give us detailed information about the upcoming Battle Pass, where we can spot a ‘remix’ of familiar skins like Ragnarok, Lynx and others.

Before any news from Epic itself, Fortnite OG was teased through a loading screen named, ‘Within The Sanctum’, where players can spot a date: July 12, 2018. This was a reference to Fortnite Battle Royale’s early days, as the new season is bringing back old map locations, weapons and items from Chapter 1.

Furthermore, Fortnite OG was somewhat revealed when long-time creators and streamers of the game started receiving a ‘mystery box’ and real-life items resembling the original game at their doorsteps. This was a clear hint at the upcoming season, and creators could watch a video clip of them playing the older seasons.

Chapter 1’s initial days were all about introducing players to the world of Fortnite Battle Royale, but the skill ceiling regarding the game’s ‘building’ was something that kept players away. However, once Epic introduced Zero Build mode to the game, a lot of players jumped right in. While many were worried that Fortnite OG would remove the new sprinting and mantling mechanics from the game, the rumours simply weren’t true.

Fortnite OG will mix nostalgic content with all the new mechanics players have been enjoying the last few seasons.
