“We need such movies back”: Mark Wahlberg’s ‘James Bond in a Minivan’ Movie Gets Thunderous Applause as Marvel, DC Fail at Box Office

Mark Wahlberg is back again with another one of his iconic movies but this time, he’s going to portray the role of an almost James Bond mixed with a hint of John Wick all the while raising a family.

Starring in the upcoming film titled The Family Plan, Wahlberg, and Michelle Monaghan will shine in the lead role with the Uncharted actor portraying the role of an ex-assassin turned family man. Keeping his family safe while trying to kill his enemies, fans are quite excited for the film and wish that more such movies be made in the future.

The trailer for Wahlberg’s upcoming action/comedy movie has been making rounds around the internet for being an awesome flick. With an intriguing storyline at hand, The Family Plan is truly going to be quite a unique movie as Wahlberg dons the character of a covert ex-assassin but leaves that life behind.

While raising his family (who are unaware of his former life), Wahlberg plans for a family trip to Las Vegas while people are constantly trying to kill him. While trying to manage his identity as a family man Wahlberg has to eliminate an army while also taking care of his family. With Michelle Monaghan remarking that her husband is like “James Bond in a minivan”, fans took to the comment section of the trailer to shower the upcoming movie with love and praise.

Although the actor is more towards action and comedy flicks, there was one incident back in 2008 when Mark Wahlberg choked director M. Night Shyamalan outside the theater because he was so scared!

Back in 2008, Wahlberg starred in a movie titled The Happening. With M. Night Shyamalan helming the project as the director, the movie was bound to be a horror masterpiece but Wahlberg wasn’t prepared. Talking about the incident on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Marky Mark revealed that he choked Shyamalan because he was so frightened!

“When I saw the movie for the first time, he was outside waiting for me and I choked him because that movie scared the living sh*t out of me and I’m in 90 percent of the movie. I mean it’s like, the nerve that this guy has to put people through that.”
