With episode 15, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 offers one of its most shocking and exciting episodes yet. The episode picked off just where the previous edition left off. Three important heroes faced death in Episode 15, while the powerful Sukuna, the king of curses, made a surprise comeback during the Shibuya Incident Arc. However, the high point of the mind-blowing episode was the combat between Toji and Dagon. Toji’s reappearance was not just a beautiful spectacle, but also a tragic event in the series.
Toji’s return and his fight with Dagon were greatly appreciated by the fans of the series as the character has gained a great amount of popularity since his debut. However, there is one scene that MAPPA created, that was not part of the manga series, and this scene has shot Toji’s popularity through the roof.
Toji Fushiguro vs Dagon in Jujutsu Kaisen
Megumi had entered the battle and was using his domain to assist Nanami and Maki in escaping the peril that was the monster known as Dagon. But then an intruder named Toji Fushiguro uses it to get access to the domain. Everyone on the inside bears witness to the flesh of the free, to the guy who left it all behind, and to his tremendous passion. He snatches the cursed tool Maki is carrying; Playful Cloud, acting solely on impulse, smashes the special-grade curse and moves on to his next target. Dagon was powerful enough to defeat four formidable sorcerers, but he was no match for Toji, a sorcerer who lacked cursed energy.
The fight scene was probably one of the best MAPPA’s production and it was loved by the fans a lot. However, during the fight between Toji and Dagon, there is one scene, which is not present in the manga and was developed by MAPPA just for the anime that has fans going berserk.
The Anime-Only Scene in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 15
The battle between Dagon and Toji Fushiguro was a one-sided obliteration where Toji demolished Dagon with ease. There is an anime-only scene where the two continue their combat on the surface of the water, which Toji runs freely over. Dagon attacks Toji with three fish shikigami, but he stops them with Playful Cloud and even captures one with his mouth. Toji grabbing the fish by his mouth was certainly not present in the manga. This scene depicts the strength of Toji and is the perfect fit for the fight.
This scene has created quite a stir on the internet as fans loved this little addition by MAPPA who recently faced some backlash because of animation issues in episode 14. This extra scene helped the studio rebuild its reputation and fans now are eagerly waiting for the next episode to see MAPPA’s effort for the future of the series.
