Solo Leveling—alternatively translated as Only I Level Up (Korean: Na Honjaman Rebeleop)—is a popular South Korean webcomic written by Chugong, and illustrated by Gee So-Lyung.
The anime adaptation of the web novel is set to release in January 2024. Its plot is based around the world of gifted hunters and monsters. The individuals with powers are known as “Hunters” who fight “Dungeons.”
It focuses on Sung Jinwoo, a South Korean student who’s certified as the weakest hunter. From then he trains to escape from his reputation as the weakest hunter in the world.
With the announcement of the anime adaptation, another good news related to the anime is also awaiting. During Crunchyroll’s industry panel at Anime NYC, the English dub cast for the anime adaptation of the webcomic was announced, with some known names attached to the project.

Solo Leveling Announced its English Dub Cast
The series already announced its initial cast members, but no information was shared about the international dubs earlier. But now the English cast of Solo Leveling has been revealed.
The main dual blade-wielding, Solo Leveling character Sung Jinwoo will be played by Aleks Le. The name might be familiar because he’s the same guy who voiced Zenitsu Agatsuma in Demon Slayer, a member of Demon Slayer Corps. Trusty rich sidekick Yoo Jinho will be played by Justin Briner. Jinwoo’s sister Sung Jinah will be played by Rebecca Wang.
S-rank hunter Cha Hae-in will be played by Michelle Rojas. Flame-wielding, the cool glasses guy Choi Jong-in will be played by Ian Sinclair. The beast mode with sick sideburns Baek Yoonho will be played by Christopher R. Sabat. The strong chairman of the Korean Hunter Association, Go Gunhee will be played by Kent Williams.
Chief inspector of the Korean Hunters Association Woo Jinchul will be played by SungWon Cho. Sung Jinwoo’s hunter friend Lee Joohee will be played by Dani Chambers. Last but not least, the English dub ADR Director will be Caitlin Glass.
Whereas, the Japanese voice included: Taito Ban as Sung Jinwoo/Shun Mizushino, Reina Ueda as Cha Hae-In/Shizuku Kosaka, Hiroki Touchi as Baek Yoonho/Taiga Shirakawa, Genta Nakamura as Yoo Jinho/Kenta Morohishi, Daisuke Hirakawa as Chōi Jong-In/Shin Mogami, Banjou Ginga as Go Gunhee/Kiyoomi Gotō, and Makoto Furukawa as Woo Jinchui/Akira Inukai.

Everything You Need to Know About Solo Leveling
The story of Solo Leveling was first published as a novel in 2016, before being adapted into a weekly webtoon.
The anime recurved its first trailer in June 2023. Although the trailer didn’t provide much information, it gave a rough overview of the start of Sung Jinwoo’s story. In addition to that, Solo Leveling hasn’t dropped the important credit/title sequences yet.
This anime adaptation is produced by A-1 Pictures, which has also recently produced the Nier: Automata adaptation and Mashle: Magic and Muscles.
Some talented individuals like Shunsuke Nakashige and Noboru Kimura are taking on the roles of principal director and head writer respectively.
The show’s score is also created by the legendary composer Hiroyuki Sawano—the brain behind mind-blowing music in Attack on Titan and Kill la Kill.
