Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece has been going through one of its darkest storylines both in the anime and the manga. Jewelry Bonney’s story is one that no one expected to be filled with so much darkness. Now that the series is finally turning to its last arc, things seem to look rather bleak amongst fans who aren’t ready to let go of the epic story just yet.

The series is slowly approaching its end as it stands in the final saga, preparing to close the book once and for all. Fans have followed One Piece for decades now, making it not just their childhood but also a majority of their lives. To bid it farewell would be an emotional rollercoaster no one is ready for. Just the same, Oda is looking forward to some possible spin-off ideas.
Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece Spin-Offs
Eiichiro Oda’s work on One Piece has left fans in a state of awe. From the manga to the anime, now even the live-action series, there are various means by which fans can enjoy the story. However, seeing that it is in its final arc, the series will end sooner rather than later. It is inevitable that Oda’s last stroke will not only conclude Luffy’s journey but also bring to light the anticipation fans have held for decades.

Oda has previously talked about how he would enjoy some spin-off stories about characters whose lives he would want to explore. Although the serialization for the same would not be weekly, it would still be a continuation of the epic series. As per Game Rant, Eiichiro Oda is specifically interested in a spin-off series for Monkey D. Garp and his relationship with the Marines. The character has always been a particularly popular individual and to explore his story would not be something fans complain about.

The mangaka would further want to expand on Garp’s relationship with Cipher Pol as well as Gold D. Roger. However, that is not all. Oda wants to bring about a spin-off manga specifically focusing on the Revolutionary Army and Luffy’s father. Monkey D. Dragon’s story is one that intrigues Oda just as much as it does the fans.

One Piece is Ending but Not So Soon
Although the Egghead Island arc is still in the runs, approaching its end, One Piece is set to end eventually. The ongoing final saga is one that can go for as long as half a decade longer. The Four Emperors Saga in itself lasted for eight years. Arcs in Eiichiro Oda’s manga aren’t constrained by time and can be expanded both in-depth and beautifully. This makes sure of the fact that although the manga is ending, that conclusion is not coming anytime soon.

The actual final chapter could take years before Luffy finally finds the One Piece. However, it is no reason to fret since the longer the series runs, the happier the fans become.
