This includes the beloved Indiana Jones franchise. However, the most recent movie in the franchise was a Box Office dud and fans are now trying to find a new target to blame for its failure.
Harrison Ford might be one of the best actors in the world, but even he can’t help a generation gap or two, especially when it comes to his newer films. This was most apparent in how Dial of Destiny was viewed after its release this year.

Indiana Jones And The Dial of Destiny made its way to theaters all around the world earlier this year, as fans of the franchise had a lot of expectations behind the film for a lot of reasons. Unfortunately, their wishes didn’t come true at all as Harrison Ford’s film proved to be a disappointment.
Indiana Jones And The Dial of Destiny received a Rotten Tomatoes score of 69% while it got an IMDB rating of 6.6 – all of which meant that it wasn’t necessarily a terrible film, but nothing worthwhile either.
According to Box Office Mojo, Indiana Jones And The Dial of Destiny has grossed almost $384 million at the Worldwide Box Office. Therefore, the film was a Box Office bomb, resulting in a loss of $100 million for Disney.
Fans Are Trying To Blame Something New For Indiana Jones And The Dial of Destiny‘s Box Office Failure
Indiana Jones And The Dial of Destiny failing at the Box Office shocked many as they just wanted the film to succeed. It has already been established that was not the case and this has made fans question their loyalty, while some decided to pin the blame on other factors for the film’s failure.
A fan took to Twitter and noted how it is absurd the movie starring Harrison Ford became the most forgotten and least talked about blockbuster movie of 2023. This led to quite a few fans responding in the comments, as they pushed the blame on Gen Z audiences, among other things.
We grew up with LEGO Indiana jones. But there wasn’t anything after 2009 to keep people wanting more from Indiana jones as a franchise

I mean, let's not act like everyone born after 1990 is incapable of watching movies from before they were born. New installments from older movies happen all the time, some even overshadow the originals.

And if some do, why would they care about him enough to see his movie in theaters when they could wait to stream it??
Fans may not get to see another Indiana Jones anytime soon, if ever again and they are simply reluctant to accept the potential final film to be a disappointment. Regardless, we’ll have to see what’s next in store for Harrison Ford.
