The first season of House of the Dragon tells a complex and dysfunctional relationship between the members of the Targaryen family. Characters grew and evolved and the dynamics between family members changed drastically as one reached the finale.
The recently released teaser for the second season of the show indicates that this conflict has become an all-out war between house Velaryon and Targaryen. Rhaenys sums up the whole narrative of the season by claiming that it will be “a war between kin”. The teaser also saw the return of Vhagar, the dragon that devoured Lucerys (which is the cause of this war)

House of the Dragon Season 3 Is Planned According to George R.R. Martin
House of the Dragon is set to return with its second season next year. The overwhelmingly positive reception of season 1 and the high anticipation for season 2 indicate that there is great potential and excitement from audiences for the series.
While season 3 of the show has not been officially announced yet, George R.R. Mattin has teased that it is being planned. He told Bangcast,
“In television, we have the new show, House of the Dragon, which has just finished filming its second season, and we’re going to be doing planning for the third season soon,”
This is good news for fans of the show who want to see more of the intense and epic storytelling of Westeros and its inhabitants. One can expect an official announcement during the airing of the second season or after its complete run on Max.
