Like many Hollywood biggies, Anne Hathaway is deliberate about keeping her professional and private life in two different lanes. However, we did get a brief insight into her personal life, especially her bond with her husband Adam Shulman, with whom she has been for the past 15 years, and tied the knot back in 2012.
And despite Hathaway keeping her love life behind the curtains, this hasn’t stopped the internet from going hog wild with conspiracy theories, with netizens convinced her husband is a reincarnation of Shakespeare.
Anne Hathaway Doesn’t Rule Out the Possibility of Her Husband Being a Reincarnation of William Shakespeare
While on the surface, Adam Shulman might seem pretty normal, fans are convinced that the actor is a reincarnation of the greatest writer in the English language. And the running joke about Shulman being a reincarnation of Shakespeare, following his resemblance, has made it to the Interstellar Star, and she did go on to play along with the joke before bursting into laughter. On asked how she feels about her husband possibly being a reincarnation of William Shakespeare during her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, she said,
“It would be great if it’s true but if not, [it’s] still kinda great,”
Furthermore, keeping in mind that the renowned British author was married to a woman named Anne Hathaway, this just adds to the absurdity and hilarity of this theory, which fans can’t get enough of.
Anne Hathaway on Why She Is Keen on Keeping Her Private Life Behind the Curtains
Hathaway, who is pretty adamant about keeping her private life out of the spotlight, opened up about why she is so stern about preserving her family’s privacy. Appearing on the cover of PORTER, The Dark Knight Rises Star explained that the decision to keep her life behind curtains is not only for herself but for her family. She was quoted saying,
“It’s something I feel is not just essential for my health – I’m on a team, it’s my family, and it’s not just about me.” She continued, “My family has needs, and one of the needs of children is that they need to be able to define their own lives. It doesn’t even occur to me to link the two up, except through gratitude that they serve each other so beautifully. But they serve each other through me, and not through a space that’s outside of myself.”
While her husband most probably isn’t a reincarnation of Shakespeare, even though netizens haven’t given up on the theory, the two remain closer than ever, as they celebrate 11 years of their marriage.
