Taylor Swift had a remarkable 2023. She spent the year spearheading her historic The Eras Tour. Swift’s tour which started in March ended up grossing more than $1 billion by the end of November through 60 shows across 24 cities.
As per a report in Deadline, the tour has now grossed more than any tour by any other artist ever. The 34-year-old also released the concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which managed more than $250.6 million at the global box office, leaving even MCU’s The Marvels far behind in the race.
It seems the Anti-Hero singer is all set to rule 2024 too. We are only a few days into the new year and she has added another record to her repertoire.
Taylor Swift Leaves Peers Behind With Another Streaming Record
The reason behind Taylor Swift attracting millions to her concerts as well as theaters is her iconic songs. Her musical prowess was highlighted once again by the success of her latest album, 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
On the day of its release (27 October 2023), Swift set a Spotify record in becoming the artist with the most streams in a single day in the streaming service’s history. Later, the 12-time Grammy winner was also named Spotify’s top-streamed artist of 2023 with over 26 billion streams globally on the platform since January 1.
Now, as per Pop Grave, the Blank Space singer has become the first artist in Spotify history to have four albums with over 7 billion streams each.
Her peers like Dua Lipa (2) and Ariana Grande (1) have also enjoyed great success with their respective albums, but it’s tough to see the two coming close to Swift’s towering record of four.
Lipa is also entering Hollywood in a big way this year with Henry Cavill’s Argylle. The success of the action thriller should certainly further raise her profile, but whether it’d be enough to challenge the Swift mania is a debate for another day.

Taylor Swift Could Face Dua Lipa at the Box Office in 2024
Talking about Hollywood, having already dominated the box office with Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, the singer-songwriter is rumored to appear in Deadpool 3.
The Ryan Reynolds starrer is expected to pave the way for several mutants from Fox’s X-Men Universe to enter the MCU. As such, many old faces (Hugh Jackman) as well as new stars are expected to feature in the third installment of Deadpool.
While no formal announcement has been made concerning Swift’s appearance, Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy, intriguingly, refused to trash Swift’s casting rumors.
Should things materialize as reported, keen followers of the music world will certainly enjoy seeing Lipa and Swift go head-to-head at the box office in the first half of 2024.
