Recently, the voice actors of Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro were invited to an interview for a magazine. Over there, they were asked about their favourite dialogue in their career. While Mayumi Tanaka, the voice actor of Monkey D. Luffy, gave an unusual answer, Kazuya Nakai, the voice actor of Roronoa Zoro, gave an answer that everyone expected. Well, he could not help himself since ‘nothing happened.’

Kazuya Nakai’s Favorite Dialogue Is One of the Best in Shonen History

Kazuya Nakai revealed during the interview with Nikkei Entertainment Magazine that his favorite dialogue of One Piece was delivered by him. It was at the end of the Thriller Bark arc when Bartholomew Kuma came for an exhausted Monkey D. Luffy’s end. But Roronoa Zoro intervened and fought Kuma. In a desperate attempt to save his captain’s life, he offered himself to Kuma, who was a Warlord at that time. He used his Nikyu Nikyu no Mi take take out all of Luffy’s fatigue and asked Zoro to experience that fatigue.

To take all of his captain’s pain and fatigue, he went through it. After that, the scene cuts to the other Strawhats looking to find Zoro, but they are shocked to see Luffy jumping and without any fatigue. Suddenly, after looking for some time, Sanji found Rorozoa Zoro. But as he came near him, he became scared and surprised to see Zoro standing in a pool of blood. When Sanji asked what happened, he replied, ‘Nothing Happened.’

This particular dialogue with just two words is not only Kazuya Nakai’s favorite but the whole One Piece fandom’s favorite dialogue. It is one of the greatest dialogues ever told. Every best dialogue list has the ‘Nothing Happened’ dialogue in it.

It happens rarely that a dialogue so iconic is born.

Kazuya Nakai might be biased towards his dialogue, but the fans do not judge him. Moreover, it became a stepping stone in his legendary career as a voice artist. The fans could have already predicted that what Nakai’s favorite dialogue would be since it was a no-brainer. On the other hand, Mayumi Tanaka chose the conversation between Ace and Garp at the Paramount War. Ace said, “I wonder if I shouldn’t have been born,” to which Garp replied, “You’ll find out as you live it.”
