When it comes to One Piece, millions of adjectives describe it. Out of them, iconic and legendary are the most common ones. The anime has been running for more than 25 years, and still, the fans cannot get enough of it. One Piece is one of the Big Three of anime and one of the most popular anime of all time.
Recently, the voice actors of Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro were invited to an interview for a magazine. Over there, they were asked about their favourite dialogue in their career. While Mayumi Tanaka, the voice actor of Monkey D. Luffy, gave an unusual answer, Kazuya Nakai, the voice actor of Roronoa Zoro, gave an answer that everyone expected. Kazuya Nakai revealed during the interview with Nikkei Entertainment Magazine that his favorite dialogue of One Piece was delivered by him. It was at the end of the Thriller Bark arc when Bartholomew Kuma came for an exhausted Monkey D. Luffy’s end. But Roronoa Zoro intervened and fought Kuma. In a desperate attempt to save his captain’s life, he offered himself to Kuma, who was a Warlord at that time. He used his Nikyu Nikyu no Mi take take out all of Luffy’s fatigue and asked Zoro to experience that fatigue.
I bought a magazine about One Piece that was released today. Luffy's VA Tanaka's favorite line is 《Ace: I wonder if I shouldn't have been born. Garp: You'll find out as you live it.》Zoro's VA Nakai's favorite line is, 《Zoro: Nothing happened!!》 pic.twitter.com/IEQgA4c0GT

To take all of his captain’s pain and fatigue, he went through it. After that, the scene cuts to the other Strawhats looking to find Zoro, but they are shocked to see Luffy jumping and without any fatigue. Suddenly, after looking for some time, Sanji found Rorozoa Zoro. But as he came near him, he became scared and surprised to see Zoro standing in a pool of blood. When Sanji asked what happened, he replied, ‘Nothing Happened.’

This particular dialogue with just two words is not only Kazuya Nakai’s favorite but the whole One Piece fandom’s favorite dialogue. It is one of the greatest dialogues ever told. Every best dialogue list has the ‘Nothing Happened’ dialogue in it.
Why Is ‘Nothing Happened’ So Popular Among One Piece Fans?
‘Nothing Happened’ has achieved an iconic status in One Piece. The story that builds up to it was a pure work of fiction. The Strawhats were vulnerable at the moment, but Roronoa Zoro stood up and proved his undying loyalty to his captain. He was ready to sacrifice his dreams for his captain. It happens rarely that a dialogue so iconic is born.

Kazuya Nakai might be biased towards his dialogue, but the fans do not judge him. Moreover, it became a stepping stone in his legendary career as a voice artist. The fans could have already predicted that what Nakai’s favorite dialogue would be since it was a no-brainer. On the other hand, Mayumi Tanaka chose the conversation between Ace and Garp at the Paramount War. Ace said, “I wonder if I shouldn’t have been born,” to which Garp replied, “You’ll find out as you live it.”
It was also a great dialogue, considering the tension of the war. Garp was in a tug of war-between his duty as a Marine Vice-Admiral and his family. But nothing could compare to Kazuya Nakai’s favorite one.
