Elden Ring is a tough game. We all know that. But, some players take this personally and do things that are… astonishing, to say the least. One such player decided to shed blood, sweat, tears, and clothes; going against one of the toughest bosses in the game.
The game’s bosses are nothing short of fascinating, and endgame fights can be particularly difficult. With a few nice weapons and many tricks up their sleeves (or the lack thereof), this player took up one of the toughest challenges nobody asked them to. And, did it anyway.
Elden Beast is an intimidating boss fight. Now, try doing it naked!
Redditor Gamer03642 has likely been waiting for this moment their whole life. Even though this was their first ‘naked‘ playthrough in Elden Ring, they explained to the community how they readied up for this fight:
Not fully blind, honestly, since a buddy who’s beaten it a few times gave me pointers to make sure I didn’t miss important things and all the player messages really helped in finding secrets (like Dragonlord, that drop-down was too well hidden). Fully naked though.
Ideally, players stack up a lot of gear/armor before going against an endgame boss like this in Elden Ring. However, the story here is completely different.
Here are all the weapons and items the player used as part of their naked arsenal:
- Uchigatana and Wakizashi (main weapons)
- Serpent Bow
- Dragon Communion Seal
- Blue Dancer’s Charm and Radagon’s Soreseal talismans
- Dragoncrest Greatshield
- Prosthesis-Wearer
Furthermore, the player completed the game with the Age of Stars ending. Seriously, how impressive is all of this? 160 hours in, and seems like the impossible was made possible by Gamer03642. The gameplay clip shows the player planning their attacks with utmost diligence and a nonchalant attitude towards the whole thing. What a show-off.
As graceful as it may seem, Elden Beast’s moveset in Elden Ring is devastating
One of the more tranquil and aesthetically pleasing fights in the game, Elden Beast isn’t actually a player’s first encounter against a difficult boss fight. This is the second half of the entire fight, putting players in a gorgeous environment that’s equally deadly.
As seen in the clip, Elden Beast’s attack combines Holy and physical sword movesets. This makes it tough for players to navigate, asking them to properly maneuver their own movements and attacks. Clearly, Gamer03642 had no issues with this.
Eventually, the fight asks you to move around (a lot) in hopes of keeping up with the Elden Beast. At some point, it also flies up and crafts a golden ring that explodes. Timing this properly takes a lot of practice, and players will need to think beforehand about how they’re going to place any attacks. There are a couple of more attacks, but repetition is the key to learning the boss’s moveset here.
The Redditor also explained how they’ve pretty much defeated all other Shardbearers except for Malenia. However, at the time of writing, seems like the player has done that too, and started NG+. Given the player’s impressive skillset, there’s no flaw in hoping for the best and seeing yet another clip soon of the infamous boss fight.
