With no official announcement in sight for Elden Ring‘s first DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, players continue to replay the main game several times. While the plus side to replaying the Soulslike game is discovering hidden secrets and reliving some legendary fights, fans are getting impatient to get their hands on the DLC.
Fortunately, fans can check out a new manga while waiting for the DLC to drop. The comic book in question takes players on a journey toward the Erdtree itself and has one unique feature that will challenge any avid reader. The overall book is a comic relief but is a definite read for any Elden Ring fan.
The Road to the Erdtree is exactly what Elden Ring fans need right now
Elden Ring fans who have played and replayed the legendary Soulslike from last year multiple times looking for something new, must lay their hands on a manga titled, The Road to the Erdtree, available on Amazon. The only boss fight readers will face while reading this rather hilarious comic is remembering to read the comic right to left. What’s more, the book comes in two volumes, so double the fun for fans.
The protagonist in the comic, Aseo the Tarnished, feels the same as every new beginner who starts playing the game. The dialogs in the are way too cheesy to be in an Elden Ring comic, and one of the best examples of that is when Aseo says, “Hope you like Revenge, ‘cos I’m servin’ it cold!“.
Even the bosses in the game are parody versions like Godrick the Grafted who adds a fire-breathing dragon in the game, gets into a grafting fashion, and loses. Ranni the Witch is seen dressed as a doll and the new look even gets approved by Blaidd the Half Wolf.
Aseo gets through the entire storyline without breaking a sweat and if nothing else, The Road to the Erdtree gives fans the humor that’s quite unlike the stress that comes with a Soulslike game. Amid all the comic take, the artwork is taken rather seriously as The Lands Between and the protagonist along with other characters are all well illustrated.

For a more serious take, there is no dearth of Elden Ring lore for fans. From YouTubers to an entire Elden Ring Wiki website contributed by fans of the game, there are tons of content available online.

Shadow of the Erdtree has been awaited by fans of the game for months now, and in the process, the replayability factor of the game hasn’t waned either. 2024 could yet be a huge year for Elden Ring even if just one DLC is released all year, as players are expected to make the most of the DLC by playing the DLC just as many times as they did the main game.
