Hidetaka Miyazaki’s craft of Elden Ring remains one of the best works ever to be introduced in the gaming industry. The title was released back in 2022, and while it brought many unique gameplay experiences, it also brought with itself a ton of questions left to be answered by the developers.
Usually, in the entertainment sector, theories and speculations are often given the representation of an iceberg, with the theory becoming more bizarre the deeper the iceberg goes. One such iceberg for the game was made by a user on Reddit, which introduces an interesting theory of how The Lands Between might be upside down.
This particular iceberg featured many theories that were already the talk of the town for the community, however, one that managed to stand out was the aforementioned idea of how The Lands Between might be upside down.
How Can The Lands Between Of Elden Ring Be Upside Down?
While it is not the first time this has been brought up, the topic of The Lands Between being upside down is something that remains rarely talked about. There are not many hints and credit given to prove this theory, but fans have pointed out something from FromSoftware that gives credibility to this particular speculation.
It has been pointed out how when one observes closely at the main cover of Elden Ring, the artwork of the great runes and Queen Marika somewhat looks like an Erdtree flipped upside down, with its roots spreading out in the cosmic space.
The theory further extends into how the eternal cities that lie beneath the map, such as Nokstella and Nokron have an actual sky above them, making them the real upside face of The Lands Between and the map of Elden Ring.
Other Bizarre Theories That Remains Speculated In Elden Ring
While The Lands Between being upside down remains one of the most outstanding predictions in the iceberg, it goes deeper, bringing up how it is most probable that the character of St. Trina is just another avatar of none other than Miquella.
Miquella, the twin brother of Malenia and son of Queen Marika remains a character shrouded in mystery, but fans hope we get to know more about him and St. Trina in the upcoming DLC for Elden Ring called Shadow of the Erdtree.
FromSoftware was considerate enough to release a key art along with the announcement of the upcoming DLC last year. This particular key art reveals what seems to be the character of Miquella riding on a steed looking towards a burned-down Erdtree.
Elden Ring is available to purchase on Steam.
