Daisy Ridley has become quite a familiar face in Hollywood. While she has starred in many different projects over the years, she is best known for her work in the Star Wars franchise. Her run as Rey Skywalker has certainly been controversial; however, there is no denying that she is a talented actress.
Recently, Ridley gave an interview where she revealed quite an interesting piece of information. It would seem that the actress desperately wants to be a part of one franchise, and she might have a direct connection to get in.
Daisy Ridley Had A Request
Recently, Daisy Ridley gave an interview with The Times, where she went into great detail about her personal and professional life. She specifically talked about what she wanted to do outside of the Star Wars universe. It seems she had an interesting request for one of the members of the crew of her film, Young Woman and the Sea.
Oh, I had a word. I’m shameless. People think I’m one tool short of the box, but I was like, ‘Please give me a ‘Pirates’ job!’
Jerry Bruckheimer worked as a producer on Ridley’s upcoming film. While she got to know him through that, he is better known in Hollywood through his work in The Pirates of the Caribbean series. Taking advantage of this connection, she approached Bruckheimer and asked him if she could be a part of the new reboot that has been all anyone can talk about.
Daisy Ridley—The Pirate
The Pirates of the Caribbean reboot has been making headlines for many months. However, it has been getting even more attention recently after it was announced that Margot Robbie would be heading it. While fans are disappointed that Johnny Depp will not be a part of it, they are certainly excited about what is to come.
The possibility of another famous face being a part of it would certainly make them even more happy. Although her run in the Star Wars universe has not been the most successful, there is no denying that Daisy Ridley is an excellent actress and would bring a completely new essence to the franchise.
Since the reboot will naturally come with a lot of pushback from diehard fans, having familiar, beloved faces may be exactly what it needs.
