Summoning Torrent is a very important part of Elden Ring’s gameplay as this feature allows players to travel the huge open world quickly and engage in mounted battle. However, the process of summoning the horse is very annoying if players are already engaged in a battle.

To summon the horse, players must go through the game’s menu which can be dangerous, or have it equipped on item slots. Players have been asking for a separate button for automatically equipping torrents.

Summoning Torrent for the first time in mid-battle warrants a prompt- Yes/No, but when the players are resummoning the horse to help them again in battle, the prompt doesn’t make much sense. There should be a setting that allows players to remove the prompt about torrents completely.

This becomes even more messy if players do not have the horse on slots as enemies during this time won’t stop attacking. This has caused the death of many players and led them to re-initiate the battle from the start.

Small issues like this can stack up the frustration from various hard-fought battles. Players have been very active in expressing their frustration on various platforms. There are many Reddit threads dedicated to this and players are even saying “Whoever approved that needs to be fired”

FromSoftware has a reputation for creating games that challenge the players to learn and adapt. But these minor issues can create an extra burden in otherwise great fight sequences. In a game where every second matters, the difficulty of summoning Torrent easily can ruin the gameplay experience.

Besides some technical issues, developers should try to make players’ lives a little easier by changing the time spent on summoning Torrents and a simpler menu system. For now, to avoid these missteps the community usually suggests various methods on public forums like Reddit.

The Elden Ring community is still very passionate about the game despite these minor hiccups. They still continue to explore and conquer the Lands Between in various ways. This shows that the game’s strengths far outweigh its weaknesses. For now, players are eagerly waiting for the DLC on June 21st.
