Well, well, well, it’s time for another update about the iconic whodunnit franchise Knives Out and what (or who) is new in the upcoming project. After Chris Evans and Daniel Craig, it seems that the ensemble cast of the Knives Out franchise is growing as it bags yet another MCU star!
The world is both delighted and shocked to hear that this MCU star, who had just recovered from some serious injuries, is now a part of Knives Out 3! We do not know if the franchise has a knack for hiring only MCU stars but it seems that there are a lot of actors that once belonged to the MCU!
Knives Out Franchise Hires This MCU Actor After Chris Evans!
The world literally changed when veteran director Rian Johnson created Knives Out and released the film back in 2019. Starring Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, and, Ana de Armas in the leading roles, the film was a rollercoaster of emotions with a Sherlock Holmes-like character who lacked basic presence of mind!
No hate on Craig’s character as the 2019 movie is one of people’s most beloved movies of all time. Knives Out was followed by a sequel in 2022 with the film titled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Starring Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, and several other stars alongside Craig, the film tried to live up to the original’s expectations.
Now for the third part, the franchise has revealed that MCU star Jeremy Renner is now a part of the Knives Out franchise. The upcoming film, titled Wake Up Dead Man, will feature Jeremy Renner in a prominent role alongside Daniel Craig reprising his role of Benoit Blanc.

Discussing Renner’s health and his joining the franchise, people couldn’t help but notice how the Knives Out franchise has a plethora of stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Renner is just the latest addition!

As mentioned earlier, Jeremy Renner isn’t the first guy that the Knives Out franchise has hired who has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In fact, there’s a whole conspiracy in the franchise that Marvel actors are always the killers.
Although we are not denying or agreeing to the possibility, it does seem suspiciously odd that Wake Up Dead Man has so many actors and actresses with a Marvel background.
There Are Quite A Lot of MCU Stars In The Knives Out Franchise!
Starting off the list with the main… wait. Before you continue, a spoiler warning for the Knives Out franchise is now in effect. Starting off the list with the main big bad villain in the 2019 film, Chris Evans is known around the world for portraying the role of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Pay attention now. He was the main villain in the 2019 film and the world was shocked. In 2022, Edward Norton portrayed the role of Miles Bron… the murderer. Fans may remember that although Norton was not a part of the MCU, he did portray the character of Bruce Banner aka The Hulk in the 2006 film The Incredible Hulk.
And now, news of Jeremy Renner, an MCU star, joining the Knives Out franchise is spreading on the internet. If the actor is the villain in Knives Out 3, the conspiracy theory will be nothing but confirmed. On the other hand, we are just connecting the dots like Benoit Blanc. Unlike the popular detective, we cannot say for sure that Renner is going to be the villain.
With a star-studded cast to its name, Knives Out 3 is set for a release date of somewhere in 2025.
