However, it’s not the only game that is sure to disturb you. The horror genre has been buzzing lately, and we now have another addition to that roster. With dreary visuals, disturbing creatures, and claustrophobic environments, Post Trauma might be what you need before the release of the remake.

One of the key aspects of any horror title is to offer a memorable experience that sticks around long after the credits have rolled. The best games in the genre are able to blend scares with the story in a seamless manner. That’s why the Silent Hill 2 remake received much fanfare, and that’s the ideal approach for Raw Fury to adopt with Post Trauma.

Guerrilla Collective 2024

We got the release window during the Guerilla Collective Livestream, and it is slated for a Fall 2024 release. The trailer gave us some gameplay and hints for the narrative. Set in what appears to be an abandoned facility overrun by corruption, our protagonists must fight through nightmares and creatures to escape their imprisonment.

One dialogue stands out in the trailer, where a character states, “We do what this place demands,” alluding to the place itself having a degree of sentience or harboring some malevolence against its inhabitants. Several creatures were shown in the trailer, and one would not be faulted for drawing comparisons to the Silent Hill 2 remake trailer.

The trailer showed three different characters that players will be able to control: an old man, a middle-aged man, and a young girl. It is not yet revealed if the game will require players to choose one of these characters for the entire playthrough or switch between characters within the game.

It seems a lot of studios are looking to create horror experiences for gamers, as we are getting a bunch of new titles in the genre. Aside from the aforementioned Silent Hill 2 remake and Post Trauma, we will also be seeing Slitterhead by Bokeh Game Studio. That name may sound unfamiliar, but Silent Hill fans will know of Keiichiro Toyama.

The director, designer, and writer for the first game in the franchise is now leading the development of Slitterhead. The game is slated to make an appearance at Summer Game Fest on June 7, so fans will get their first look at the title that was teased over a year ago.

Several other games across genres are also expected to be shown during the event. However, we do know of certain titles and studios that won’t be making an appearance. Among these are GTA 6, Half-Life 3, Judas, The Wolf Among Us 3, and any Sega legacy games.
