Live service titles such as Helldivers 2 thrive with an active player base of consistent fans. One of the best ways to ensure the player base sticks around is to offer new content with a Battle Pass, or, in the case of Arrowhead Game Studios, Warbonds.
These Warbonds add not only new missions and locations to the game but also a bunch of new content, such as guns and cosmetics. Now, the challenge is to keep pushing out new content, but this is not always possible, and it may require some doubling back, something the new CEO, Shams Jorjani, has admitted might happen.
Helldivers 2 Developers May Bring Back Old Content in the Future
Season and Battle Passes almost always have a new theme. This is to keep people’s attention who may be bored of what the base game or ongoing Battle Pass has to offer. Each Helldivers 2 Warbond has had its own theme, and introduced coinciding gear and weapons. But, it appears this might now always be the case according to Shams Jorjani, the new CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios.
With Johan Pilestedt now taking on the role of Chief Creative Officer, Jorjani will be handling the business side of things to ensure the boat is sailing smoothly. As such, he has been quite vocal on X, sharing his opinion and answering fan queries. He has already confirmed that the game will never get a single-player mode, and now he may have revealed the future content plans for the title.
We'll likely circle back on all the content. But I dint know when/how.

One fan asked if they would ever get another chance to snag a cape that was available during the events of the Malevelon Creek update. Jorjani responded by saying they will, at some point, circle back to all of the content, but she is unsure of when this would happen or the manner in which it would be implemented.
Fans of the game, especially those who missed out on certain loot, will be happy with this news. It’s not planned for any time soon, but just knowing they can once again get the same gear as their comrades on the frontline should give them enough hope to keep them going.
The Monthly Warbond Schedule Might be Disrupted
Not everyone is happy with the new Viper Commandos Warbond. Many fans have called out Arrowhead for releasing a lackluster set of offerings in their latest content update. Thankfully, Arrowhead has listened to the feedback and plans to change the Helldivers 2 Warbond release schedule.
The studio has stated that they will now focus more on quality than quantity. Previously, it was revealed the team had to follow a monthly release schedule for Warbonds, which also impacted their attention when it came to fixing and patching the game.
Now, with more time to plan the Warbonds, the team can also spend some time fixing the major issues that were taking away from the game’s experience. Given that the concurrent player count is still not as high as it was before, the team needs to get on the fans’ good side promptly.
