Whether it’s the movements or the environmental destruction, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero takes things up a notch; this is not just a regular DBZ game. While we have seen planetary destruction in video games like Budokai Tenkaichi, Xenoverse 2, Kakarot, and more, the attention to detail in the upcoming Bandai Namco game is simply amazing.
In the series, Ki blasts can destroy a mountain or a planet, depending on the power and the person using it. Attacks like Final Flash, Spirit Bomb, Death Bomb, and more are among those capable of changing the view from serene to severe. Players will get to see all of it in Sparking Zero.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is Taking Everything to a New Level
Players will be pulled back in time when Frieza was counting on his life but turned the game around, even just for a while. The green planet Namek was turned into a giant fireball, spewing bits of lava from its core. The attack, Destroy The Planet!, was enough to do that.
Vegeta’s Final Flash, too, is capable of doing such large-scale destruction, as can be seen in the latest clip a user dubbed RikudouFox shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Vegeta is seen confronting the mighty Frieza and uses his Final Flash technique. What follows is just visual treat to the eyes.
Watching planet Namek turn into a fireball again, user aksevenfoe couldn’t resist expressing his love for the game. He is already convinced that this might be the best game in the franchise.
User King_Rosex believes he’s going to get lost in the game for hours when it arrives.
There’s no doubt the game will be special, as diving into the franchise after 17 years will be both nostalgic and different at the same time.
The Power of Unreal Engine 5 is Writ Large in the Game
The upcoming Budokai Tenkaichi game will truly be a next-gen experience. Given that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero was developed using Unreal Engine 5, players can expect more than meets the eye in the trailers. Hellblade II is one recent example of what this game engine is capable of.
After watching the game during its release date announcement, more fans were convinced about the Dragon Ball supremacy. Players will get to live (that’s right) and not just watch the iconic moments from the original anime. The trailer showcased the beloved character Goku in a first-person perspective while confronting enemies like Raditz and Cell.
There’s a lot to be revealed when the game finally arrives on consoles and PCs on October 11, 2024. Whether it’s the Saiyan Saga or the Majin Buu Saga, they will be able to throw a bit of change in the narrative as they have imagined over the years.
