Henry Cavill has been seen appreciating Warhammer 40K and World of Warcraft plenty of times. He is also intimately involved in the TV adaptation of Warhammer 40K. There is only one game he respects as much as these two, and that is The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt.
Henry Cavill’s association with The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt
Cavill is a big PC gamer and fantasy novel geek. He remembers his father reading to him when he was little, which left a lasting impression on his mind. He has always found a deep connection with the fantasy world, given his roles as Superman and Geralt of Rivia, rooted deep within his soul.
Henry Cavill loves to sit and play games on his PC extensively. His first involvement with The Witcher franchise was with The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt. He fell in love with the characters and world of that game at first sight and has never been able to look back ever since.
In an interview with Heatworld, Cavill talks about his discovery and love for the game, as well as how important an influence the fantasy genre had on him while growing up. He said:
Witcher 3, when it came out, I just got stuck in, and the world-building in that is so fantastic. They’ve set their rules. The graphics in there still stand up today. I mean, I’ve been playing on my 3090, and so I think the graphics still stand up.
And that’s what I loved the most about it was the immersion in that world, and you could really feel like you could just go and do anything. And the detail was extraordinary.

Fantastical influences of Cavill

Cavill is also a big fan of role-playing fantasy games like Warhammer 40K, World of Warcraft, and The Witcher. Cavill’s road to stardom and fame after giving multiple box office hits did not change his love for gaming and reading; instead, it helped him to venture into it more deeply by pushing movie adaptations for some of his favorite franchises like Warhammer 40K and The Witcher.
Looks can be deceiving. Cavill’s charming personality is the front door to the house where a nerd resides. The fantastical world is Cavill’s playground, a match made in heaven. With his roles as Superman and Geralt, he has fulfilled his dream of being a part of 2 fantasy worlds while getting paid for real-life role-play in movies and shows.
