Naraka: Bladepoint is no Hellblade 2, but no one expects it to be. What people do expect, however, is that it runs decently well on the consoles it releases on. That doesn’t seem to be the case for Xbox users though, or user (singular).
And no, it’s not the Series X/S they’re having problems on; In fact, people on those consoles aren’t experiencing half the problems this particular user is. It’s an unexpected answer that’ll make you question why Bladepoint is even available on it.
One Xbox User Can’t Run Naraka: Bladepoint, and for Good Reason
![For one user, Naraka: Bladepoint is an unplayable mess.](https://fwmedia.fandomwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/17141926/naraka-bladepoint-1-1-1024x576.jpg)
The chaos was contained with a single Reddit post from almost four months ago, where one user ranted about Naraka: Bladepoint‘s abysmal performance on their Xbox console.
They reportedly faced issues with “mobile game ad” style graphics, constant lag spikes, and freezes, “to the point where it’s literally impossible to not die.“
They question why the game was even released in such a state where it’s unplayable, and mention they’re on an older Xbox without specifying which model. And then, they poetically summarize their thoughts:
…there is no reason I shouldn’t be able to run a game with graphics that look like a bird shat on the screen and proceeded to projectile vomit everywhere…
Sounds bad enough, right? But going through the comments, none of the other players seemed to experience any of the issues that OP had.
The Claws Are Out as Replies Eat OP Alive
![There's one glaring reason for OP's problems, and it's an expensive solution.](https://fwmedia.fandomwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/17141940/naraka-bladepoint-4-1024x576.jpg)
Some were quite upset at the way OP described the game, and it showed.
The comments they passed were seen as snarky and salty, going unappreciated by the Naraka: Bladepoint community. Seeing as how the players aren’t on good terms with the game, their unity against OP can’t go unmentioned.
The issue eventually became clear as day, however, when OP revealed they were playing on an Xbox One. To put this into perspective, the One was released in 2013, while Naraka: Bladepoint came out in 2023.
As we mentioned earlier, it’s not Hellblade 2 in any aspect, but there’s no doubt it would need decent hardware to run properly.
We’re not sure why the game is even available for the Xbox One, but experiencing issues playing a one-year-old game on an 11-year console is to be expected. Some people found the best solution was to just give up trying to play it, rather than forcing yourself through it.
Editing their original post, OP conveyed that they understood the game isn’t meant to be played on an Xbox One, but were confused at why the game was even available for it in the first place; A fair enough question.
What do you think about this whole situation? Was OP’s anger justified or exaggerated? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
