Teamwork often becomes the difference between victory and defeat in Helldivers 2. Players need to effectively use their utilities and cooperate with other players to truly achieve freedom and spread democracy in chaotic battlegrounds.
However, sometimes a single piece of equipment can malfunction and ruin the player’s strategy or potentially result in mission failure. The Anti-Personnel Mines is one of those pieces of equipment that malfunction a lot, causing frustration among players and even leading to failing a simple daily mission.
Players Facing Trouble with Anti-Personnel Mines in Helldivers 2

Anti Personnel Mines in Helldivers 2 is a gamble. Even in the best-case scenario, they manage to kill a few enemies without incident. However, that’s where the good part ends as more often than not, these mines are a liability to bring in the battle, and can even lead to killing teammates.
It is clear that these mines are in dire need of a fix or a complete overhaul. In the state they are in right now, they are more likely to kill a teammate than enemies. The main issue with these mines is their appearance and size, they are so small that they are almost impossible to spot by an uninformed teammate, killing them in most scenarios.
Reddit User insight_or_incite finds themself in the same situation as a daily mission requiring them to kill 50 enemies with these Anti Personnel Mines. After getting the mission, they decided to place them on the battlefield, However, instead of killing the Bugs, these mines killed their random teammate multiple times. This led to two things: a realization that mine are bad and a kick from the party.

It is clear that Anti Personnel Mines needs a change, as their unreliability not only disrupts the tactical planning but also risks players getting kicked for griefing. The time for change is now.
Players Proposing Potential Changes and Hoping for an Immediate Fix
![The new planet is making Helldivers 2 players change their strategy to take on enemies.](https://fwmedia.fandomwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/21131116/helldivers-2-garcrux-stats-1024x576.jpg)
In the battle against the Bugs within Helldivers 2, Anti-Personnel Mines can be a good strategic move to clear a wave of enemies. Due to their shortcoming, they are nothing but a liability for groups of players as can ruin the multiplayer experience. It is evident that developers need to prioritize the Anti Personnel Mines and implement changes in the next few patches.
The developers at Arrowhead can even take some inspiration from the community (about the fixes). These proposed ideas for more visibility or a bigger mine radius can help remove some of the frustration players are facing and show that they are listening to their feedback actively.
As players await a rework of Anti Personnel Mines in future updates, let’s not forget the ultimate goal: to achieve victory and spread democracy to the entire galaxy.
