Helldivers 2 is a title that has been experiencing decline in recent times. The reason for this was that recent patches and updates made the game worse instead of making it better.
Players have always been vocal about what they feel is wrong with the game, and the game team has listened to feedback since its release. This time, it is related to a stratagem that players consider underpowered.
A Player Suggests a Potential Fix for Purposeless Turrets in Helldivers 2
Players must get used to stratagems and each stratagem’s merits and demerits in Helldivers 2. Recently, a player complained about the game’s progression system leading to a worse sentry gun being available at a higher level.
Once again, a Player on the game’s official subreddit suggests an improvement in turrets, one of the primary places where fans discuss the game. The subject of the post was regarding how easily turrets can be destroyed in-game:
Replying to the post, another Redditor shared a workaround and stated that teamwork and coordination begin from the loadout and not at the battleground:
Unfortunately, another player complained similarly on the game’s community discussion forums in March 2024. This suffices to say that despite all of the updates since then, the turret stratagems in Helldivers 2 continue to serve no real purpose, as any random guided projectile by the enemy destroys them.
Helldivers 2 Team Needs to Make a Few Changes to Ensure That the Game Doesn’t Fall Off
The Helldivers 2 team has been hard at work ever since the game was released, and it has successfully built a massive and loyal player base. If anything, the quest for liberty and the fight for democracy have united players like nothing else.
Despite the speed bump, which was the PSN controversy, the game is doing well. However, the drop in player retention is noticeable. Players have been complaining about not having the incentive to play as much as they used to on the game’s subreddit:
Turrets, one of the most underutilized stratagems in the game, are part of the problem with the title, but it seems like players are frustrated. For example, the game lacks an internal communication system for accomplishing major orders:
It must be noted that the game fared well among players because of how well the team responded to feedback from the community. Granted, it can be challenging to do that while executing the game team’s game plan.
Regardless, despite the game not being in the state, Arrowhead has plenty of time and opportunities to get Helldivers 2 back to where it once was. What do you think of turrets and the current state of the game? Let us know in the comments below!
