The Helldivers 2 community has been shell-shocked after fighting in many battles that left them paranoid and high-strung. It can be difficult to blame them since they have experienced it firsthand and are left scarred by the horrors of war which will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
Some players are still unconvinced that the galaxy is safe from the threat of one enemy faction that is said to be wiped out of existence. This level of paranoia can stir up some tension behind friendly territory and cause the trust between friends and allies to deteriorate slowly.
The Helldivers 2 Community Is Feeling Uneasy About One Enemy Faction
The Ministry of Truth mandated every player to prepare for a final strike against the Terminid faction in Helldivers 2. Scientists have discovered a rare substance called Dark Fluid that came from another enemy faction and deduced that it can be used as a biological weapon that can be used as a permanent solution to snuff out the Terminid threat once and for all.
Arrowhead Game Studios has done some impressive work to build the franchise’s lore that even generated some conspiracy theories from within. Some players genuinely believe that there will be a reckoning especially after the Ministry of Truth made a deal with the devil to destroy one evil with another.

Operation: Enduring Peace was a success but the players were left speechless about what transpired to the supercolony of Meridia after bombarding it with Dark Fluid. The Ministry stooped too low for this operation and failed to realize what could be waiting on the other side of the black hole.
The Illuminate Let the Ministry of Truth Do the Dirty Work for Their Return
The Ministry of Truth seems to be trying to cover up its mess by starting propaganda to avoid mass hysteria. Regardless, it would be wise to remain vigilant and be on guard for whatever may come and hope for the best.
Perhaps the developers are waiting for the right moment to let these foul beings and give the gaming community a new threat to deal with. The player base has been complaining about the lack of enemy variety and has grown tired of fighting the same enemy types over and over again, the arrival of the Illuminate could spice things up.
War can leave a residual impact even at times of peace. There may not be a possible reason to be worried today but it does not mean it may not happen.
The black hole could only be the beginning for the Illuminate to return to the galaxy and finish what it started during the first Galactic War. The Ministry of Truth may have doomed the galaxy in its desperation.
