The first and only planned expansion for FromSoftware’s Elden Ring hit the shelves on June 21. The DLC’s initial reviews were overwhelmingly favorable, to the point that Shadow of the Erdtree made history as the highest-rated video game DLC ever created.
While it’s Hidetaka Miyazaki’s best creation, some players have been taking to social media to complain about the DLC’s extreme difficulty. However, that didn’t stop Twitch’s most popular streamer, Kai Cenat, who has finally managed to conquer the Land of The Shadows by defeating Radahn!
Kai Cenat Finally Wraps Up Shadow of the Erdtree By Beating Final Boss
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s expansion culminates with Miquella summoning a younger Radahn to be his consort, combining their power to become one of the most difficult game bosses we’ve ever seen. If you thought Malenia was trouble, you’re going to love this.
However, after 58 hours and an outright therapy session, Cenat has managed to obliterate Shadow of the Erdtree’s final boss.
Cenat starts screaming his victory, falling off his chain onto the floor as “God Slain” pops up on the screen. After almost 1,000 deaths and 99 hours, he had finally managed to beat the game’s most brutal boss. Cenat’s fans celebrated his dominance and called him the “gamer of the year.”
Despite the Shadow of Erdtree‘s criticism for being too difficult, the Twitch streamer has defended its difficulty and told gamers to “put your big boy pants on.”
Cenat concluded his Shadow of the Erdtree marathon by announcing that he has more gaming plans in the works over his next broadcasts, including the completion of Miyazaki’s Seikro: Shadows Die Twice.
How Long Did it Take Kai Cenat to Beat Elden Ring?
There’s no doubt that completing this DLC is a massive achievement, even for fans and veterans who’ve been playing the base game since its release. You’ll be surprised to know that Elden Ring is Cenat’s first FromSoftware title!
It took Cenat over 166 hours and 1,700 deaths to beat the base game, so he’s definitely on a roll here. FromSoftware has already sent him a Malenia statute, so he may get something again to celebrate his triumph over Radahn!
In total, it took Cenat 265 hours and 2,771 deaths to beat Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree combined. After all that, it’s definitely safe to say he deserves a break from Elden Ring!
